Ambient/Folk Outlier Happy Sad Presents “Requiem for Dead Flowers”

Epictronic is pleased to announce the release of the official video for “Requiem for Dead Flowers,” a new track by ambient/folk artist Happy Sad, taken from the album The World Is Grand When We See.

“Requiem for Dead Flowers” reflects on the way seasons fade. As nature moves on, so do the emotional imprints tied to it. The piece draws a parallel between withering flowers and the soft erosion of memory, presenting a restrained and reflective soundscape. Built on subtle orchestration and minimal textures, the composition moves with patience and intent.

Happy Sad describes the track as part of a post-classical lineage shaped by artists such as Jóhann Jóhannsson and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

About the Artist: The Architect of Sound

Happy Sad is the solo project of Hiroaki, a Japanese artist and sound professional based in the game industry. He began making music during his student years, playing café bar gigs and recording demos. His influences take in soul, British rock, folk, trip hop, neoclassical, world music, and film scores, alongside a strong connection to literature. His recordings balance live instrumentation with programmed elements. To date, Happy Sad has released seven albums and 19 EPs.

Outside of music, Hiroaki has around 14 years of experience as a Sound Designer and Sound Director in the games industry, having contributed to over 60 projects at companies including NetEase Games, FunPlus, NHN PlayArt, and Noisycroak Inc. His work spans music composition, sound design, audio direction, and promotional video production. In 2013, his track “Everyday” won the domestic DJ category and reached the finals of MTV and Lenovo’s CO:LAB contest.

In recent years, Hiroaki has travelled across ten countries in search of sounds and traditional instruments. Encounters along the way with displaced communities have shaped his approach to music as a form of shared human expression.

  • Muddshovel Release Official Music Video For “Over The Line”

Muddshovel Release Official Music Video For “Over The Line”

Irish alternative rock band Muddshovel have released the official music video for “Over the Line,” taken from their album Little White Hair, out now via Epictronic.

Shot on location across Co. Cavan and Co. Donegal, the video accompanies one of the album’s most direct and driven tracks. While the spark for “Over the Line” came from songwriter Shawn Hicks completing a decade-long house restoration, the song quickly grew into something broader—an anthem for anyone who has dedicated themselves to a long, demanding journey. It captures the sense of relief, pride, and accomplishment that comes with finally reaching the finish line. Born from a jam session, the song’s opening riff immediately set the direction, and from that moment, the band knew it had to be played loud.

    Watch the official music video:

Muddshovel are a three-piece alternative rock band hailing from the heart of Cavan, Ireland. Blending raw guitar-driven energy with haunting melodies and intense lyricism, they craft a sound that feels both deeply familiar and completely their own. With influences ranging from grunge and post-punk to modern alt-rock, mudd·shovel deliver songs that hit hard and stay with you.

Formed out of a shared obsession with the dirtier side of rock and an instinct for storytelling, mudd·shovel isn’t just a name-it’s a reflection of their sound: heavy, honest, and unapologetically grounded. Whether on stage or in the studio, the trio brings an intensity that punches above their weight. With their debut album “Little White Hair”, mudd·shovel are carving out their space in Ireland’s underground rock scene, one riff at a time.

Muddshovel’s unique “alchemy” is driven by the tight-knit synergy of Shawn Hicks (Guitar/Vocals), Garreth Tackney (Bass/Production), and David Mulligan (Drums). Together, they have crafted a sound that feels both nostalgic for the golden era of alt-rock and fiercely contemporary.

  • Red Sky Unveils New Music Video “Kit d’Emergenza”

Red Sky Unveils New Music Video “Kit d’Emergenza”

Masked rapper-guitarist Red Sky presents the official music video for “Kit d’Emergenza”, taken from the acclaimed album Nostalgia del Futuro, available now via Epictronic.

    Watch the video:

With “Kit d’Emergenza”, Red Sky delivers one of the most personal and emotionally resonant moments from Nostalgia del Futuro. Accompanied by a powerful new music video, the track addresses loneliness, emotional struggle, and the search for hope when everything seems lost.

    Red Sky explains:

“Emergency Kit was born from a very specific moment. A fan wrote to me saying she wanted to take her own life. That night, I wrote this song for her.

But as I was writing, I realized I wasn’t speaking only to her. I was speaking to everyone who feels like an outsider in this world — different, misunderstood, alone even when surrounded by others.

The title is no coincidence: this song is meant to be exactly that, an emergency kit. Something to hold on to when the weight becomes too much to bear, a voice that says “I see you” when everything around you feels dark.

The music video gives a face to that darkness without hiding it and without romanticizing it. Because those who are living through it need to know that someone sees them, and that their suffering is not a life sentence.”

The track is featured on Nostalgia del Futuro, an ambitious album inspired by Maxwell Maltz’s Psycho-Cybernetics and the longing for who we are meant to become. Written just before Red Sky’s life-altering move to Japan, the record is a fearless sonic manifesto. It blends metal, rap, electronic music, reggae, and traditional Japanese and Middle Eastern textures, channeling the artist’s cross-cultural journey to explore universal themes of identity, aging, and self-worth.

  • epoimóriròmiope Release Unplugged Version of “eclissi”

epoimóriròmiope Release Unplugged Version of “eclissi”

Italian alternative rock trio epoimóriròmiope have released eclissi (unplugged), an acoustic reworking of the track “eclissi” from their album “ricordi di un tempo mai esistito”, out now via Epictronic Worldwide.

The new version strips the original of its layered production, arriving as a more direct and exposed take on the song. The band approached the arrangement not as a reduction but as a rewrite from scratch — reconsidering what the track needed once the noise was gone.

The band said: “When we first wrote and produced Eclissi, it was a track full of layers, tension, almost ‘noisy,’ even on an emotional level. Taking it acoustic wasn’t simply a matter of stripping it back, but of rethinking it from the ground up. We asked ourselves what would remain once everything unnecessary was removed, and in doing so, we uncovered its most fragile and honest core. This version is more direct, more exposed. Where there was once anger or impact, there is now vulnerability. Certain lines carry a different weight, almost as if the song had grown with us over time. In a sense, this isn’t just a musical reinterpretation, it’s an emotional one too: the same song, seen through different eyes.”

     About:

Emerging in 2021 from Bologna, Italy, epoimóriròmiope fuses Metalcore, EDM, and Alternative Rock into a genre-defying sound. Originally a one-man project, it has evolved in both style and lineup—from the dark trap influences of Vincoli (2021) to the electronic experiments of kabukimono (2023). Singles from these albums remain on YouTube but have been withdrawn from streaming platforms to mark a fresh start with the definitive lineup and sound.

Lyrically, the project has shifted from social observations to exploring the darkest corners of the human soul. The latest album, “ricordi di un tempo mai esistito”, delves into separation, loss, regret, anger, anxiety, and reflections on death and life’s fleeting nature. Its first single, “vertigine”, captures the dizzying weight of absence and memory, offering atmospheric, raw alt-rock where love, identity, and time seem to unravel.
